Research has shown that early detection of psychosis is possible. We can accurately diagnose risk for psychosis before the illness emerges, allowing for prevention or dramatic reduction in the impact of the disorder. Professionals who work with young people are critical in early identification. The aims of this conference are to teach recognition of early warning signs of psychosis; provide information on assessment and referral, evidence on cutting edge treatments, and characteristics of those in the early stages of psychotic disorders. Early psychosis experts from around the country will present their research and how it applies to professional practice. Professionals serving youth are encouraged to attend.
