Jon Mort is an emerging contemporary artist whose provocative art has received critical acclaim. His work blends time-honored techniques with remarkably unique compositions. A recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design Masters program in Architecture, he lives in Washington, DC. & Port Clyde, ME & will show new large-scale graphite drawings at his open studio at historic Fieldstone Castle. The Somerville Manning Gallery & Portsmouth Museum of Art features his current artwork focusing on an ongoing collection that explores assumptions about familiar myths from classical history.
