Hours: May, June, Sept. and Oct.: daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., July and August: daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Maine’s only museum dedicated to whales lets visitors see, hear and understand whales through real whale skeletons, bioacoustic booths, and insights into the adaptive lives of marine mammals; also a climate change exhibit with a clear explanation of the issues and ramifications of changes in climate from the oceans to the skies. Free, donations support education and marine research at College of the Atlantic’s marine mammal research arm, Allied Whale. Supported by COA and Bar Harbor Whale Watch. (from maineevents.com)
